She recently embarked on a campaign visiting schools around Tzaneen where she gave motivational talks to Grade 12 learners.
She visited four schools, Mdingazi Secondary School, Mbhekwana Senior Secondary School, Zivuko Senior Secondary School and Scotch Maboko High School.
“The aim was to encourage matriculants to dream beyond their current circumstances and work hard towards those dreams in order to create a better future for themselves and their families,”
Homu explained.
The local model said that on the 28 October last year, when she was crowned Limpopo Princess, she wanted her reign to impact the lives of the youth of Tzaneen.
She wanted to empower young people, the same way the Mamelodi Sundowns family has empowered her.
“I feel that it is important for young people to see a peer who comes from the same neighborhood and from a similar background as they do as a role model because it gives them hope to be bigger than their surroundings.
The road to success begins now with them passing matric,” she added.

She warned them about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse and how sports or extra-curricula activities can help them live a healthy lifestyle.
She encouraged them to apply to tertiary institutions and shared information on bursaries and other financial options.
Some of her previous titles include Miss Jozi 2018/19, Miss Mapungubwe 1st Princes 2018, Miss Limpopo Teen 1st Princess 2016/17, Queen of the North 2016 and Face of Tzaneen Mall 2016.
Homu will be competing against other pageant beauties from all over South Africa for the overall title of Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2019/2020 on 8 March.
