Star Spares shares insight on big developments for their business going forward.

Since the tragic loss of their premises last year in October, Star Spares has recently shared their plans for the future of their business.

Speaking to Letaba Herald last Friday, Ruan and Elize Caroto stated that they are excited about the plans they have for their business and also went into talking about where they are at the present moment.

“Since the fire happened, we had to move premises and find adequate space for both our spares department and our Husqvarna department. At the moment we have the spares department, which consist of the accessories, tools, motor-, tractor-, forklift- and trailer spares, operating from Oasis Mall in Aqua Park,” explained Ruan.

Free tuk-tuk service operation with it’s first customer.

Our Husqvarna department and workshop can be found at Tzaneen Swaarvoertuie, opposite the Show Ground, to which Ruan stated that they have added a free service for their customers to reach both premises with ease.

“Because sometimes our clients have a challenge getting to us since we moved further away from our old location, we have a tuk-tuk service, free of charge, that will transport our clients from where they are in Tzaneen CBD to either one of our premises and back. At the moment we are operating on one tuk-tuk but we are looking into possibly getting another one should there be a demand for another one.”

Clients can make use of their free tuk-tuk pick-up and drop-off service by phoning, sending an SMS, sending a “Please Call Me”, or sending a WhatsApp to 076 035 0023. The service runs from Mondays to Fridays.

With regards to their future plans, they told Herald that they have a lot in store for their customers and that soon they will be moving premises again.

“We are looking into reconstructing the building that burned down last year. The reconstruction plans will start with the demolishing of the old building, after which some design changes and modernisation will be implemented.”

Setup of the current operating premises.

The reconstruction of the building will come with a new look, where Coffee D’light will be operating in between the Husqvarna department and the spares department.

“Unfortunately Venue D’light will not be on the premises anymore but we are planning on hosting smaller parties, gatherings and corporate meetings from a new venue that will be constructed,” explained Elize.

Both Elize and Ruan thanked the community for helping them during the fire.

“Now that everything is calmer and we have sorted out premises to operate both businesses from, we would like to thank the public for their help in our time of need. People risked their lives to help take our equipment and the stock out of the burning building. They even went as far as unplugging machines from the walls and carrying them out of the burning building, and that to us means a lot.

“We are grateful for the people around us and we hope that they will be as excited about our plans as we are,” they concluded.

Star Spares will be keeping their customers and the public informed about the developments of their plans as they happen and the updates will be shared in Letaba Herald.
