Police service in the Mopani district recently got awarded for their efforts to combat crime and for seeing to the conduct of orderly marches and strikes.
Mokwakwaila SAPS scooped two awards for the 2018/2019 period.
They got first place in management of funds and also for crime prevention, while the Public Order Policing received first place for their managing of marches and strikes for the 2018/2019 period.
Ritavi SAPS took second place in the province for crime prevention, with assistance from the municipality and community members for the period of March to July.
And lastly, the Tzaneen Cluster took first place for the 2019/2020 period which is of April to July in crime prevention in the province.

The Cluster Commander, General Mathebula took some time to thank all stakeholders for helping the SAPS in all their efforts and capacities.
“We called on the stakeholders to come and help us celebrate our achievements as the police service could not have done all this work alone. Therefore, to the farmers, the CPF and CFF groups and all the other stakeholders, thank you for helping ensure that crime is fought off well in our communities,” stated Mathebula.
