HOEDSPRUIT: SAPS comes to the aid of orphans

In the interim, the first born who is a male child is taking care of his two younger sisters as they are staying in their own Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) house.

The Hoedspruit SAPS members with assistance from community members celebrated casual day in special way on Friday by handing over groceries to one of the families in Santeng village outside Hoedspruit, where three children orphans were identified.

The three children were 13, 14 and 22.

Sergeant Livhuwani Mulaudzi stated that the first born dropped out of university the time his mother was sick so that he can take care of her until the mother lost her life.

The police handed over food and deep refrigerator to the children.

“We could see the smile on their faces to show that they appreciated what we did for them,” said Sergeant Mulaudzi.
