Communities around Tzaneen up in arms against serial rapist
A ‘serial rapist’ is allegedly tormenting the community around Tzaneen.
It is alleged that a serial rapist is on the loose and this has communities around Tzaneen fighting tirelessly for their safety.
According to a source who asked to remain anonymous, when the affected communities of Motupa, Mopye and nearby villages report the rapist to the police they are told to act in a way that they [the community] sees fit.
This led the community of Mopye to burn down the suspect’s home about a month ago, and in efforts to retaliate, he started threatening to find the people who did it.
Community members of Relela and Morutji allegedly stoned the suspects grandmother to death as it was believed that she had given him muti to make him “disappear” whenever the community was after him.
“We received word about the killing of the suspect’s grandmother and we are busy attending to the matter. More details will follow,” stated spokesperson Captain Moseri of the Tzaneen SAPS.
