The year started for the Care Buddies with their first birthday bash for the Oldies at Melodies Restaurant where they were treated to pancakes filled with veggies and mince.
This was followed by an old fashioned bread pudding which brought back good memories of days gone by.
Then cake and tea ended the day.
The Care Buddies celebrated Ester du Plessis’ Birthday; she turned 85 on January 1.
Suikerbos Koekemoer turned 79 on January 12, and Willemien Goss turned 81 on February 9.
The party continued on March 5 in the old church in Kampersrus with a delicious lunch of quiches and salad followed by a scrumptious rice pudding, they ended off the day with a medley of cakes and tea.
They celebrated the birthdays of Tom Ferreira who turned 90 on March 15, Dave Taylor turned 82 on February 25.
