Elma Steyn who was speaking on behalf of ABSA made mention of the growth that ABSA has been making since it moved from Barclay’s Ltd to ABSA Ltd and that the move inspired the change of logo.
She also stated that the growth shows positivity and a strong team working base to ensure that people still receive quality assistance and that it will hopefully bring more fruitful changes in the near future.
Eco Choice Delicacies and Pest Control Specialists received Merit Certificates of appreciation for sponsoring the guest speaker hampers for the chamber luncheons.

For their outstanding service to the community, Hannes Steyn from Herofield and Mariëtte van der Westhuizen from Smit Advisors each received an award.
The Public Official of the Year went to Felix Nomvela, Department of Education. Secretary or Receptionist of the Year went to Alta le Roux from Ben Vorster High School.
Manager of the Year went to Hendrik van der Wal from SAB, and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year went to Johann Coetzee, a grade 11 student at Merensky High School.
The Friendliest Business of the Year award went to Ilona@Creative Hair’s owner Ilona Geldenhuys. And finally, Business Person of the Year award went to Jon Hyde, from Trophy Motors in Modjadjiskloof.
