“Being Miss GTRN is exciting for me as it is a great platform to reach out to my community..." explained Malatji.

Tzaneen’s  beauty queens once again battled against each other for the title of Miss Greater Tzaneen Royal Nobility (GTRN) 2019 at the Nkowankowa Community Hall on Saturday January 4.

The multi-talented Mpho Whitney Malatji (22) also know as Aurora from Sekororo was crowned Miss GTRN 2018.

Malatji is a Medical Sciences student at the University of Pretoria and she is also a dancer, musician and a poet. In 2018 she was part of the four finalist of the TV show, Showville the Tzaneen edition.

“Being Miss GTRN is exciting for me as it is a great platform to reach out to my community with them being a great support system. I’m really ready to give out to other communities and carry the crown with humility and love,” explained Malatji.

“The purpose of this prestigious project is to develop and implement a platform within the Tzaneen area aimed at improving the life of a girl child.

This project also aims to encourage everyone within the community, especially the youth to do good and support those who are less fortunate,” explained Ntombi Baloyi, Founder of Miss GTRN.

The event normally takes place in the first week of each year.
