Police in Tzaneen have arrested 18 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to Captain Joseph Moseri, six people were arrested for shoplifting, three for common assault and four for general theft.

One person was arrested for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), one for accusing someone of being a witch and one for fraud.

One person was arrested for driving while being under the influence of liquor and one for murder.

Police in Bolobedu have arrested seven people for various criminal activities over the past week.

One person was arrested for intimidation, one for GBH and one for failure to comply with a maintenance order.

Three people were arrested for illegal gambling, one for housebreaking and one person for shoplifting.

Lestitele police arrested 36 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to Constable Lisbeth Khosa, eight people were arrested for GBH, one person for malicious damage to property and two for common robbery.

Nine people were arrested for contravention of the Road Traffic Act and eleven for contravention of a Liqour Act.

Meanwhile four people were arrested for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of an intoxicating substance and one for illegal gambling.
