Water supply is expected to be disrupted in Giyani and surrounding villages.

Water supply is expected to be disrupted in Giyani and surrounding villages due to maintenance work to be done at four of the Mopani District Municipality’s reservoirs.

The routine maintenance work will be done from Wednesday 17 to Thursday 18 October.

“The four reservoirs that are going to be affected are clustered under the Giyani Water Works which supplies the entire Giyani area with water. The Mopani District Municipality urges communities to use water sparingly as our technical services will be working tirelessly to ensure that the maintenance is done within the two days. ,” said Witness Tiva spokesperson for the Mopani District Municipality.

Some of the villages to be affected are Thomo, Khakhala, Homu 14-A and B, Mapayeni, Ngove, Bambeni and Mageva.
