TZANEEN: ON air or not?

Some say where there is smoke, there is fire, local Radio station, Greater Tzaneen FM seems to be having challenges yet again.

Since Friday, September 7, the station has been playing music and adverts only with no normal programmes.

A reliable source told Letaba Herald that the station’s broadcasting license has expired for a while now and that is the main reason to the current situation.

The Herald asked one member of the station as to why the station suspended its programmes and he could not give a clear answer.

In the past the Herald has reported three times on mismanagement claims made mainly by former employees of the station.
