GALLERY: Monthly business luncheon a good laugh

Tears were rolling, noses were snorting and bellies were tight with laughter from Barry's series of jokes.

The monthly Tzaneen Chamber of Commerce business luncheon took place last Friday and it was refreshing to have the event outdoors at the Merensky Rugby Club, hosted by Merensky and South African Breweries (SAB).

Approximately 40 people joined the afternoon event and enjoyed a stand-up comedy session from local resident Barry (Hylton) Williams, who is a former teacher at Tzaneen Primary and local businessman.

Williams kept the group a giggle with a few ‘grappies’ which are probably a little too risqué for publishing in the newspaper. But needless to say, tears were rolling, noses were snorting and bellies were tight with laughter from his series of jokes.

Once everyone could catch their breath, the meat was put on the braai and everybody enjoyed a ‘lekker kuier’ with delicious side dishes provided by Merensky.

As usual, the guest speaker gift hampers were provided by Pest Control Specialists and EcoChoice.
