TZANEEN: Papa Penny joins doctors to save special needs children’s teeth

Legendary musician and reality TV personality, Papa Penny, will take part in the #ThumaMinaOralHealth Awareness Campaign initiated by local dentist, Lesego Dibetso.

The awareness campaign will take place from September 5-7 in Giyani, Letaba and Tzaneen.

The objective of the campaign is to encourage early age oral health in these areas, amid cases of oral health problems caused by lack of preventative oral care and screening, particularly for special needs children.

The aim is to screen, educate children and caregivers, then dispense starter-pack oral care kits to prevent oral health problems in the targeted beneficiaries. About seven doctors will offer free basic and preventative oral screening on more than 2000 children from five schools and an orphanage selected to participate in the initiative.
