TZANEEN: A finger on the pulse.

"I really love keeping fit, it is now a part of me, I feel weird if I dont exercise,"

Fitness enthusiast, Moratuwa Finger, says nothing tastes good as good being fit feels.

Finger started living an active lifestyle from an early age when she was a learner at Merensky High School, playing netball.

“This whole journey started as a hobby when I was doing Taiboo sessions in 2005 with Fitness expert, Nyiko Masango.

“I really love keeping fit, it is now a part of me, I feel weird if I dont exercise,”

“Exercising for me is a getaway, stress release and I want everyone else to get a taste of that feeling that I get when exercising,”Finger explained.

She trains six times a week, Monday to Saturday, running and lifting weights, depending on her mood she sometimes trains twice a day.

“Women should not be scared to lift weights, because it is actually good for your body it tones your muscles,” she added.

Finger is living her best life at the moment, she is also a baker and makes cakes for all occassions.

She started a bakery with two of her sisters, Nthabi Finger and Karabo Finger, called Nabee Cakes almost two years ago.

They currently have two branches one in Tzaneen at Sasekani Plaza and one in Johannesburg.

She encouarages women to follow their dreams and not to allow fear to stop them from achieving their wildest dreams.Her message to all women this August is “lets stop the pull her down syndrome and lets start supporting each other, lets collaborate in business instead,” she concluded.
