The presidency to honour N’wamitwa Day

Hosi Nwamitwa the Second, together with the Royal Council, Traditional Council and Valoyi Traditional Community, will host the 10th year Nwamitwa Day Celebration at the Valoyi Cultural Village on Saturday, September 1.

The event will start at 09:30 and coincide with the Woman Month in commemoration of Her Royal Highness landmark inauguration on August 29 2008.

The highlights of this year’s celebration will be the attendance by the office of the President of the Republic of South Africa, more than six Cabinet Ministers, several Premiers of different Provinces, several MECs, more than seven chairpersons of the National House of Traditional Leaders, National and Provincial members of the Legislatures, most Royal Leaders from different provinces and Heads of different Departments.

The main event of Nwamitwa Day Celebration on Saturday shall be preceded by the Gala Dinner on Friday, August 31, starting at 18:00 at Royal Khalanga Guest Lodge with the Minister of Agriculture, Maite Koana- Mashabana as the keynote address presenter.

Dr Thomas Chauke and Xinyori Sisters shall be the main performers at the event with all the types of Cultural dances by the local Traditional Community performers.

Hosi Nwamitwa will give an overview of all the community projects she introduced during her past nine year tenure with all the funding she received from international and local onors, with assistance from various departments in the Republic of South Africa.
