The Police in Lulekani have launched a search operation after Melita Maake (38) and her twin baby boys from Lulekani Township outside Phalaborwa, were reported missing by her family.
“It is alleged that the victim left home with her two boys aged eight (08) months on the 1st of July at around 10h00 and has since disappeared without trace,” the police said in a statement.
Police efforts to locate the mother and the two children at friends and relatives bore fruitless results and her cellphone is on voicemail.
“According to further police investigations, the victim might be around the Gauteng Province. The names of the children are Nicolle and Nicholus Maake. She is brown in complexion and was last seen wearing a black pair of trousers and a doek.”
