UPDATE: Tzaneen’s ‘Facebook Lover’ vehicle thief still on the run

This, after a woman’s motor vehicle was stolen by her ‘Facebook Lover’ at the Lifestyle Shopping Centre in Tzaneen.

According to police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, a white Toyota Tazz was also found parked in the yard where the stolen vehicle was found. The Tazz had no registration plates on it.

Following a cyber crime related incident reported in the Tzaneen Policing area, police have made a breakthrough by recovering a stolen motor vehicle in the Artherstone Village near Acornhoek in Mpumalanga.

“Preliminary police investigations have revealed that the vehicle [white Toyota Tazz] was reported stolen in Kempton Park in Gauteng,” Ngoepe added.

Ngoepe says in the process of recovering the vehicles, the suspect managed to evade arrest and he is still on the run but says police are hot on his heels.

The suspect goes by the name of Brian Mabasa.
