Lannie Motors hosted the launch of the new VW Polo on Saturday, February 10.
Letaba Herald were at the launch and enjoyed the day’s festivities.
Lannie Motors went the extra mile, excuse the pun, to ensure that potential customers were welcomed and their questions about the New Polo were answered.
Herald asked Dawie van Niekerk, Sales Executive at Lannie Motors about what is different about the new Polo.
“VW have now brought out an automatic option for the Comfortline. Previously, only the Highline option was available in automatic,” he went on to say, “the engine is completely new and more fuel efficient.”
The power output is also greatly improved, the previous Trendline and Comfortline had a 66kW output but this has been improved to a 70kW output.
Additionally, the Highline output has been increased from 81Kw to 85Kw.

The boot capacity has also increased from 280 litres to 351 litres.
The car itself is 100mm longer which has generated a lot more leg room. Head room has also increased.
The New Polo is also equipped with the newest technologies, including manoeuvre braking.
When travelling forwards or backwards at speeds less than 15 Km/hour, the vehicle will detect obstructing obstacles and will automatically stop before contact is made, if equipped with park assist.
Four new colour options have also been added to the Polo’s repertoire, including; Dark Petrol, Reef Blue, Pale Copper and the striking Energetic Orange.
The launch was a great success, with Lannie Motors receiving a lot of positive feedback and some new applications were filled out by customers on the day.
