Nkowankowa circuit on top in the district with matric results

The Department of Education has congratualated the Nkowankowa Circuit led by Doreen Manzini for taking position one in the Mopani District.

“We congratulate the circuit for achieving this feat. Their hard work has without a doubt contributed to Mopani improving its district performance from 65.7% it achieved in 2016 to 67.7% in the 2017 grade 12 results.

“We urge other circuits to learn from this circuit so that there is collective contribution to what becomes the provincial performance.

“All stakeholders are called upon to work together in the best interest of quality education and we must all find solutions to educational challenges wherever they existed.

  The 2018 academic is here and we expect work to start on the first day of school,” said Sam Makondo, Spokesperson of the Department of Education in Limpopo.

Merensky High School has received a 100% pass rate with all 164 learners passing their exams.

Molate Raseropo, Principal of Modubaste Secondary School about his school performance.

Merensky took position 10 in the province in the public schools category for having Bachelor passes with 106 bachelors and position 11 was a tie between Modubaste Secondary School from Bolobedu and Ben Vorster High school with 104 bachelor passes.

Molate Raseropo attributes the great success of Modubaste to a team work between the teachers and learners.

Lepulana Kabi, took the best candidate from an Independent School and Tshepang Maketa took position two. Both learners are from St Georges College in Nkowankowa.

Overall, Limpopo Province has seen a decrease in the pass rate percentage by 3,2% with a total of 65,6%.
