Make monthly Farm Run a weekly Parkrun

With a bit of support from the community, the monthly Farm Run can be pushed into part of a world-wide initiative and the run will be available weekly to all.

MAGOEBASKLOOF Farm Run is hoping to expand their monthly events and become part of the ever growing, world-wide Parkrun initiative.
Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
In South Africa, Parkrun operates over 126 locations.

Over December, the Magoebaskloof Farm Run operated on a weekly basis as a trial to gauge interest. The events were enjoyed by many and the turn out was great.
Magoebaskloof Farm Run has ordinarily been running on a monthly basis since July 2017 and has turned out to be a huge success.
In order to become part of Parkrun, the Magoebaskloof Farm Run is looking to build up a base of volunteers to help manage and marshal the events.
With a bit of support from the community, the monthly Farm Run can be pushed into part of a world-wide initiative and the run will be available weekly to all.

 

Young or old, walker or runner, fit or unfit, the Magoebaskloof Farm Run is open to anybody looking for a fun way to get some exercise whilst enjoying the breathtaking views of Ebenezer Dam and Stanford Lake.

 

Bring your little ones in a pram or on their bikes and dogs are also welcome on leash.

The Farm Run starts at 08:00 at Blueberry Heights on the first Saturday of every month. No registration necessary and the run is free to all participants.

 

Young or old, everyone is welcome at the Farm Run

Please note that in February, there is a slight change to the monthly Farm Run due to the Magoebaskloof Berry Festival.

 

The Farm Run will be replaced by the Berry Festival Trail Run on Sunday, February 4 and 3km, 5km and 9km routes will be available.

 

The monthly Farm Run event will resume on the first Saturday of March.
