Pick n Pay message doing the rounds is a scam

A message stated the retail giant was giving away vouchers worth R4k.

On Thursday evening, Pick n Pay posted on social media saying the message being circulated on Whatsapp and other messaging platforms was a scam, Bosveld Review reports.

The message reads:

“Pick n Pay celebrates its 50th anniversary and gives away vouchers worth R4000 each! I have just received one from here.”

“We’ve been notified of a link doing the rounds on WhatsApp that leads to a site claiming that Pick n Pay is giving away a R4 000 gift card on completion of a survey. THIS IS A SCAM,” their post read.

The retailer said they were not involved at all, and were not giving away gift cards.
