According to information, the family went to visit Jimmy Mathebula (53) at Nkombe Nature Reserve, where he was working.
While visiting Mathebula, the family decided to have a braai when a fight broke out between the mother and the 21 year old suspect who was under the influence of alcohol,” said Sergeant Livhuwani Mulaudzi, Hoedspruit police spokeswoman.
It is alleged that the victim tried to stop his son from arguing with his mother, when he grabbed a knife and stabbed his father three times, on the shoulder, waist and on the leg.

“The victim was rushed to Tintswalo Hospital where he died on arrival, and the son was arrested immediately and charged with murder,” added Mulaudzi.
The 21 year old will appear before the Hoedspruit Periodic court soon.
