The Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Bafana Linda has condemned the escalating trend of crime incidents which are domestic related taking place at a number of areas in this Province. This condemnation is emanating following an incident which occurred in the Hoedspruit Policing area.
“A 35 year old man was arrested for raping his biological baby girl aged 5. It is alleged that the suspect and his wife got separated and there was an agreement that they will take their two children being a boy and a girl on rotational basis to their respective place of residences”, stated Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

Last week, the suspect took these kids to his place of residence, on their arrival, the mother asked them how was their weekend with the father and that is when they informed her that she was raped by this suspect.
The matter was reported to the Police who arrested the suspect following a quick response.
The suspect will appear before the Lenyenye Magistrate Court soon on a charge of rape.
