Tzaneen roads become wet deathtraps
A devastating number of accidents occurred in the Greater Tzaneen area last weekend after the roads became deathtraps under wet conditions on Saturday, October 28.
Of the eight accidents that occurred over the weekend, of which ER24 could unfortunately only shed light on two.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene of an accident on the R36 road, approximately 7km outside Tzaneen, adjacent to the Merensky High School turnoff, at around 07:30 in the morning.

According to the report released by ER24, upon their arrival on scene, they found four people had been ejected from the vehicle, with two sustaining fatal injuries.
There were two others still inside the vehicle who, along with the other two ejected passengers, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The exact details of the incident are unknown, but ER24 was able to say that the vehicle had collided with a tree in the centre median.
The other accident occurred along the R71 Magoebaskloof pass, around 12:00 where luckily no fatalities were reported.
Four vehicles were involved with nobody sustaining serious injuries.
Another incident occurred in Maake, where a case of culpable homicide has been opened after a vehicle lost control and killed one individual.
According to reports, no other fatalities were reported in the other accidents not mentioned above.
