TZANEEN: Primer Men’s Club restore a gentleman’s pride

Testosterone levels were sky high at a glamorous red tie event hosted at Letaba River Lodge, where Primier Men's Club gathered for their quarterly meetings.

With just over two years in existence, the gentlemen’s club aims to equip men with the necessary financial discipline, to empower it’s members on their journey to economic freedom.

The men were all dressed to the nines, gleaming in black and white formal wear, with a touch of red.

Like Northern Sesotho proverb dictates, “Šao la moeng le bewa ke mong motse fase” which directly translated reads “the buttocks of a visitor are laid to comfort by the host;” a representative from the hosts, Letaba River Lodge welcomed the esteemed guests to the venue.

This was after Caxton Mametša gave a colourful speech, rich in African idioms, to officially welcome members and commence the agenda.

Front row: Alpheus (Letaba River Lodge ) Setlabo Makgoba; Mabule Madie; Maboke Letsoalo; Kid Mongwe & Malesela Malesela

The formal program progressed and members continued to engage on the challenges and victories of the club since their last meeting.

‘Though financial discipline and economic freedom lie at the core of our existence as a club, we also serve as a solid support structure to one another as men’ said Secretary Mabule Madia

In a day and age where men are constantly in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, this gentlemen’s club is living proof that there are a number exceptions to the rule.

‘For one to become an affiliate of this club is not easy because we seek extraordinary qualities in our members.

‘Our screening is a well thought, and oftentimes cumbersome process; we seek intangible traits such as one’s heart and vision as opposed to things like qualifications or social status.’ said the President Maboke Letsoalo

A trio from the club celebrated their birthdays on the same day, treating everyone to a scrumptious piece of cake to mark the occasion.

The day was concluded with a game drive around the lodge, which gives an unforgettable experience through this sacred preserve of nature.
