The Ritavi Magistrate Court granted Dr Dumisani Chauke (52) R5 000 bail this afternoon .

He was arrested last week for raping a 17 year old patient in his surgery at Nkowankowa Township outside Tzaneen .

It has been reported that the following are his bail conditions: he should not interfere with the state investigations, contact state witnesses and third parties in all forms of communications.
In his affidavit read by his lawyer, he denied the allegations, pleading not guilty to the alleged rape charges, the Herald was told.
The case was postponed to February 5 2018 pending further investigations.
