Tzaneen’s good samaritans

There is still hope in humanity and one local man proves this by showing kindness to an elderly woman.

Mrs Adams, an 84 year old woman contacted Letaba Herald to inform us of the gesture of kindness she recently received from Piet Meintjies.

Meintjies is one of Game Tzaneen managers and he gave Adams a blanket for free at the store.

“I was so amazed by his kindness and respect he had for an elderly woman like me,” explained Mrs Adams.

The Herald visited Mr Meintjies at the store and he told us that it was only a pleasure to have helped her.

“We are here to give good service to all our customers, that is what our team is here for and nothing else,” said Meintjies.

This just proves that Tzaneen is not short of good samaritans.

Last year the Herald reported on the story of Elize Botha who forgot her purse in a trolley at Tzaneen Lifestyle Centre and Dermas Baloyi, a pastor from Xihoko in the Nwamitwa area found it and gave it back to Botha.

Botha was amazed by the honesty of Baloyi and she also informed Letaba Herald of his kindness.

“I just want everybody to know of Meintjies’s good heart and I really want to thank him for his generosity,” Adams also added.
