Agri-Merensky honoured at Letaba Show

Agri-Merensky's renowned show teams were gifted a chance to display their skills over a three day period at this year's instalment of the Letaba Show.

The Plasie showmen and women competed against the best of the best from Mpumalanga and first time Youth Show participants, Gauteng.

For the first three days of the Letaba Show, the Youth Show was held both in the main arena on the rugby field and also behind the scenes, in the animal stalls where a large amount of the judging took place.

Agri-Merensky’s Megan Strydom was awarded a first place in the junior cattle division for her spectacular efforts at the Youth Show last week.

Over the course of the show, 27 Plasies were responsible for taking care of and grooming 24 cattle and three goats.

When time came to present their livestock, adrenaline was coursing through their veins as they brought their pride and joy into the ring in front of the judges.

Andrea van Jaarsveld receives her medal for achieving a second place in the junior cattle division at the Youth Show this year.

In the cattle division, the junior Plasie showwomen took top honours with Megan Strydom obtaining a first place and Andrea van Jaarsveld a deserved second.

Justin Breytenbach and Luandi Visagie also managed to end with fourth and fifth places respectively.
