Merensky presents their new Executive Committee

The 2017/2018 Executive Committee of Merensky High School were elected in June this year, and spent the final 4 days of their winter holiday at Mowana Game Lodge.

THE 2017/2018 Executive Committee of Merensky High School were elected in June this year, and spent the final 4 days of their winter holiday at Mowana Game Lodge.

During this time they underwent intensive training and planning sessions.

Traditionally, one of the tasks of the group is to design an emblem showcasing their goals, beliefs and motives for the year. This group chose the motto: Inspire and Serve.

On day four the group also elected the new leaders; Liné Fourie (head girl), Joshua Labuschagne (head boy), Anri McLean and Donné Oosthuizen(deputy head girls), Jason Mellett and Donovan van Tonder (deputy head boys).

On Tuesday, July 25, the ceremonial inauguration took place in the school hall. During this the previous EC members symbolically handed their duties over to their successors by presenting them with an EC blazer.

Former heads, Zenelde Schoeman and Stefan Prinsloo, delivered outgoing speeches while Liné Fourie and Joshua Labuschagne made their debut on the Plasie stage.
