They claim that the leaders of the station are responsible for the resigning and quitting of seven employees in the past three months.
A former employee who does not want to be named said that the only reason all the presenters quit was because of the management and nothing else.
“In July last year when we signed contracts we were told that we will only get paid stipends for three months and then afterwards we will get salaries.
Nothing has changed, people are still getting paid stipends even today,” said the disgruntled former employee.
Some of the accusations include, during the December holidays a former presenter was told when he was about to go on air that he cannot do his show anymore because another former and experienced presenter who was around during the Christmas season would do his show until further notice; one person doing more than one show because of being friends with the station manager and regularly the management would tell the presenters that they must go home because they are not talented amongst other allegations.
It is not the first time the radio station has been in hot water, in 2015 Letaba Herald reported on another story which accused the radio station for not paying its employees during the time of former station manager, Tebatso Maapola.
Some of the former employees emphasised that they did not quit or resign from their jobs because they wanted to but were forced by the ill-treatment they received from the management.
“One former employee was forced to quit in the news department because of personal differences she had with one of the leaders in that department.
Her work and stories were ignored and she reported it to the management but to no avail until she quit her job.
They also added that they did not want to involve the Herald but they want people to know the truth and what is it that is dragging the station down.
Letaba Herald contacted Ernest Timbane, Station Manager of GTFM about the allegations and he requested we write him an e-mail to give to the board which we did and we still have not found a response from him.
Afterwards he could not respond to our messages and some of the former employees claim they received threats for contacting the Herald.
