The teenager was found guilty for stabbing Britain Mlambo (20) with a knife last year at Xihoko Village in the Nw’amitwa area outside Tzaneen.

They were both learners at Gwambeni Secondary School.

“Mabunda has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment without any option of bail and he will serve his sentence at the Modimolle Juvenile Prison,” said Warrant Officer Nkateko Hlangwana, SAPS Lestitele.

Mabunda has also been declared unfit to possess a firearm in terms of section 103 of the firearm control Act 60, Act 60/2000.
