Significant matters discussed at AGM of F4SD

"No child will go to school without shoes and no neighbour will go to bed on an empty stomach."

The utterances were made by the president of Forum 4 Service Delivery (F4SD), Mbahare Kekana, during their second national AGM held at Letaba TVET College on Friday, June 30.

F4SD is not a political party but rather a civil society movement formed after the realization of the post regime and the injustices of the past leadership in the country.

It has been around for two years and celebrated a year in government on June 30. Secretary General, Katlego Motlagodisa, said the F4SD has 30 seats nationally in various municipalities.

“We performed well in the local government elections in 2016 without resources,” he said.

“We really appreciate the support and loyalty you have shown to us.

We as F4SD are very concerned of the current situation in our country where gender based violence and unfair practices of labour relations to suppress the country’s economic growth.

The F4SD is saying we are sick and tired of so called veterans who are not doing our economic growth any justice,” said the movement’s spokesperson, Karabo Mahome.

He further said that Councillors must do away with working during elections only, because that’s where they know they will get fat cheques and relax after the elections.

“Forum is here to open your eyes and ears by saying that time to claim what is rightfully yours has arrived.

Although we say fighting is not a resolution but repossession is key and fundamental to our economic course.

Now our plan is to ensure that in the next few years to come before going to national election we should be everywhere and ensuring that our communities are getting services delivery,” he added. The movement’s president said the F4SD is eyeing to dethrone ANC in Rustenburg in the upcoming general elections as they have a strong presence there.

“When we started people thought we were playing games. We will lead the country, come 2019, after this AGM let’s go out there and work for the people,” said Kekana.

Members from Mpumalanga, KwaZuluNatal, Free State, and Gauteng came all the way to attend the AGM.
