One Voice Youth Development Organisation (OVYDO) hosted an event where various local artists entertained the learners of Yingisani School for the deaf recently.
The organization donated clothes, sanitary towels to the learners and also made them lunch.
Chairperson of OVYDO, Wesley Mamafa, said they chose the school because they saw that the children are in need. “Ovydo will constantly be visiting Yingisani as this is officially an annual event. We urge other sponsors and donors to come on board and help us show love and care to those kids.They are in need of PlayStations, games and other fun activities,” said Mamafa.
OVYDO is a non-governmental organization and its objective is to open a music and film academy and cater for all kinds of art (talent), host talent shows and competitions that will motivate and develop raw talents as well as give and show love to the broken hearted.
“OVYDO believes that through art, we can reduce crime and substance abuse,” added Mamafa.
The learners were excited to see Moyo, Dan family, Sky Nolo, Jabba freaks, Jay Tee, Teddy Kelly, The converse, OVYDO Burgersdorp, Jay Hennes and JMC on stage.
The event was made possible through various sponsors: God’s Global plan Ministries, CTL, Bankuna High school, Seda, Gnf1 engineering and construction, Wezzmatic records, Nkateko clothing, Vharas entertainment and communications and every household that donated old or new clothes, money or food.
They are also raising funds for one of their members, Jabba Lady who was selected to participate in the World Class Dance Tours in New York and Orlando on June 26-July 6.
