MEC hands over uniform to learners from Ramotshinyadi Village

The MEC for Department of Co-Operative Governance, Human Settlements & Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Makoma Makhurupetje hosted a Public Participation Program and handed over School uniforms to learners within the Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) on Saturday.

The event was held at Ramotshinyadi Village, at Miragoma Primary School.

A total number of 1200 learners from 12 schools (seven high schools and five primary schools) that fall under Mawa, Motupa and Xihoko circuits under GTM received school uniforms.

Speaking during the event, the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mr Buti Manamela encouraged the learners to focus on their school work.

Some of the learners who received uniforms with the dignitaries who were at the event.

“There is no future without education, whatever you want to achieve in life cannot be possible without education.

Make education fashionable. Stay away from alcohol and drugs,” he said.

Thabane Mokgabuki, who is a grade 12 learner at Ramotshinyadi High School, is one of the recipients of the uniforms and he was so happy.

“It is great knowing that we have a government that cares,” he said.

Makhurupetje also encouraged the learners to work hard and emphasized that there is no future without education.
