Career Expo outside Tzaneen a success

A thought by six young people became a reality on Monday at JB Village outside Tzaneen.

The young people who call themselves, JB Future Generation, dreamed of hosting a career expo in their own neighborhood.

JB Future Generation are a collection of learners from Ponani Secondary School and Mathlarhi High School.

They approached Miranda Palane from Legal Aid South Africa, who helped the learners achieve their dream.

JB Future Generation and some of the stakeholders of the career Expo which took place on Monday at JB Village.

“I got sponsorship from Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) and also the support from Madala Mukansi, the local counsellor,” said Palane.

The expo took place at the JB Village Full Gospel Church.

Different professionals were invited and they gave a brief background on their professions and they encouraged the learners to work hard in their studies.

The audience was entertained by live performances from local artists such as Mr Lizzer and many others.

Some of the stakeholders included Families South Africa (FAMSA), The Human Resource and Social Information Centre (HURESIC), Dr Mavanyisi , GTM, South African Police Services (SAPS) and Legal Aid South Africa. “I would like to thank all the stakeholders and everyone who contributed to the event and wish our learners well on their studies,” added Palane.
