“Edward Dube (28) and his accomplice Victor Mayivila (30) were arrested after they allegedly took a generator and a water pump at an unknown project site managed by the Department of Water Affairs”, stated Sergeant Livhuwani Mulaudzi, Hoedspruit Police spokesperson.
The Department of Water Affairs followed a tip-off provided to them by members of community before contacting the Hoedspruit police to further investigate.
“When the Police officers followed the tip-off they discovered the water pump at Dube’s home and the generator at the Mayivila household”, Mulaudzi further stated.
The two suspects will appear before the Hoedspruit Magistrates court on Wednesday April 19.
