There were nine students and two staff members all competing in the 35km race. It was a good day with some overcast weather to keep the temperature down and over 500 riders in total.
SLC managed some podium positions with Rueben Middleton and Herman Fourie finishing 1st and 2nd respectively in the Sub-Junior boys and Ani Gutierrez-Hernandez, Danica Altonroxel and Hannah Rosendorff finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Youth women category.
Ani was also the 1st overall female over the line and Matt Wilkinson managed a 4th overall in the men’s race. T Fullard, the SLC MTB manager and coach, also managed to win the Elite men’s category.
