Merensky honored at award ceremony

On Friday, March 31, the Department of Education, Tzaneen Circuit hosted an awards ceremony at Merensky High School.

On this occasion, all the schools and teachers from grades 4 to 12, were recognised for their hard work in 2016.

Merensky High School is overwhelmed with awards in the academic field.

Mss. Bets Claasen (Life Orientation), Danielle Fourie (CAT) and Martha Leeuwner (CAT), Louis Fourie (Agriculture and Civil Technology) and Danie Olivier (Engineering Graphics and Design) were honoured as the best grade 12 teachers in Limpopo.

Merensky High School was named the best Agricultural Management Sciences school in Limpopo.

38 Certificates were handed out to Merensky teachers who have produced the best results in their subjects in the Tzaneen Circuit.

A further 56 certificates went to top 10 teachers.

A Mathematics Club 50 trophy is also handed to the school.

The icing on the cake for Plasieland was when their principal, Mr. Magnus Steyn, received a trophy that crowned Merensky High School the top school in the Tzaneen Circuit.

Merensky wants to thank all the other schools and teachers in the circuit with their achievements.
