Over the past few weeks, the presence of chlorine in our water seems to have become all the more prominent with some residents going so far as to say they can even smell the chlorine in the water when they shower and others saying they can taste it in the water they’re drinking.
While any logical person understands that chlorine is indeed required to purify the water supply, that same logically-inclined thinking leads one to wonder if there isn’t too much chlorine in the Tzaneen water supply.
It must be understood that the rain that has fallen in abundance throughout the last few days has resulted in a large amount of soil and ‘muck’ being washed into reservoirs and dams, making the water purification process a lot harder.
In your opinion, without any raw emotion, prejudicial thoughts, slurs or simply illogical thinking, should Tzaneen residents be worried about the chlorine content in the water supply or is everything still a-okay?
