Scott-Crossley’s bail application denied

Following Mark Scott-Crossleys bail application launch after he handed himself over to police in connection with the alleged attack on Silence Mabunda (37) of Welverdiend in December Crossley was denied bail by the Lenyenye Magistrate.

“The case was postponed to March 24 for further investigation and he remains in custody”, said police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

Members of the community protested outside the Magistrates court demanding justice to take its course in the Scott-Crossley case and was monitored closely by police.

Scott-Crossely asked to be released on bail because he wanted to continue managing his farm just outside Hoedspruit.

“Scott-Crossley will be returned to the Hoedspruit police cells where he will be kept until he appears again in court”, stated Hoedspruit police spokesperson Livhuhani Mulaudzi.
