“Upcycling” old stationery for under privileged learners

“I dream of becoming an author and I cannot imagine my life without paper, a pencil and a pen”, said 13 year old Melindi Randall.

Melindi has started a project called ‘Right2Write’ in order to help children who cannot afford the basic stationary required for everyday school life.

“I was inspired by a girl from Kenya who created a similar project, we forget that there is the same need right here where we live”, she further stated.

The 13 year old collects stationery people usually throw away at the end of the school year and then “up-cycle’s” it.

“I will then give the “upcycled” stationery to school children where the stationery is mostly needed.

Please consider donating your pre-loved stationery to Right2Write,” she said.
