Phallic wedding ring shocks the docs

WARNING: Sensitive Content

The wedding ring is traditionally esteemed as the symbol of an eternal promise of love.
But for a man in Limpopo, it became a shackle of pain.
In the latest edition of the South African Medical Journal, it was reported that a team of doctors encountered quite a shocking scene at the Van Velden hospital in Tzaneen.
The doctors had to treat a 28 year old man who had managed to get a wedding ring stuck on his penis.
He was brought in by his mother.
He uncovered his blue and badly swollen manhood for the doctors to inspect.
And though his pain was unbearable, his body’s vital signs all seemed okay.

He told the doctors that his friends had advised him to put the ring on his penis, since a metallic constriction designed to fit the diameter of a finger would obviously increase sexual pleasure.
Needless to say, the results were not so pleasurable.
By the time they got him to the ER, the swelling was so severe that two attempts at removing the ring had failed.
After a series of injections to his penis they finally managed to get it off.
He was then admitted and treated with painkillers and antibiotics, and was checked out of the hospital three days later.
When he returned a month later for his check-up, his penis was fortunate to have made a full recovery.
And so Frodo, the ring bearer, lives to tell the tale of a bet he had once won.
