Khujwana residents say enough is enough

Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), gave the community members of Khujwane Village a chance to voice-out their complains about their clinic at Khujwane Peace Maker ground on Thursday

During a TAC door to door campaign a majority of the community members complained that the health workers at the clinic treated them badly.
“We are here as TAC to give an opportunity to the residents of Khujwane to voice their concerns about the clinic because the health centre is for the community,” said Daniel Mathebula, Prevention Treatment Literacy Training.
The majority of the complains were about mistreatment of pregnant women going into labour and some of them left to give birth on their own.
One case involved a 23 year old woman going to the clinic with labour pains.
When she got there she was first checked and the nurse on duty told her that she was going to sleep, and would be attended to later.
The young woman eventually called her sister to take her to Letaba Hospital.
