A 52 year old suspect has been arrested after he handed himself over to the Hawks at Giyani Police Station on Tuesday afternoon.
The man is expected to appear at the local magistrate court on Wednesday (today) to face charges which include theft.
The investigation led Hawks members to Gauteng province, where several people provided statements which tracked the origin of the leak back to Limpopo.
“By Friday the full extent of the leak will be determined”, said Captain Matimba Maluluke of the Hawks.
The Department of Education and the Hawks have emphasised that those who have been implicated in the scandal will be notified and will re-write the paper
