Lights out in Tzaneen after massive storm
The Tzaneen area was hit with a massive storm on Saturday night and several areas were affected by power outages.
The lines up to Haenertsburg and Politsi were damaged, although the municipality has fixed one of the big lines, one line is still damaged.
The subs at Pusela and Granor-Passi were damaged but customers were supplied by other subs.
The Letaba Estates line towards Rooidam was off and a tree damaged the line at Sapekoe, affecting residents in Georges Valley.
A roof landed on the Cheerio road line and in Magoebaskloof an important line is on the ground.
A tree also fell in Tzaneen on the corner of Soetdoring and Leadwood.
The municipality is working tirelessly to restore the damage from the storm and urge the community to please be patient.
The lines on the grounds will take longer to repair.
