FLASHBACK: Vehicle carrying gr12 exam papers involved in accident

'A vehicle carrying English paper 1 exam papers for grade 12 learners, was involved in an accident on Monday morning, a few minutes before the learners were expected to write their first examination paper for the final exams.'

Ironically, Letaba Herald published the following report exactly a year ago today when gr12 learners started their final exams in 2015.

The incident happened on October 26 2015 in Boqa Village, in the Mokwakwaila area under the Greater Letaba Municipality.

Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF), Mopani region secretary, Clement Ramathoka then said that the road was bad and that the municipality had promised to fix it years ago.

The vehicle was transporting exam papers for schools under the Molototsi circuit which consists of nine high schools when the driver lost control.

Education spokesperson, DR. Naledzani Rasila, said after the accident the driver immediately called the circuit office and the chief invigilator hurried to the scene to transport the papers to their destination.

“The accident never impacted on the exam writing, the learners wrote their English exams on time, ” he said.

On that note, lets all appreciate the amount of care and effort that goes into providing our learners with the exam papers that open the doors to their future!
