PHALABORWA: Life imprisonment for rapist

Nathaniel Malatjie (34) from Lulekani broke into a house in 2011 where a 16 year old girl was sleeping and he raped her and thereafter stole money.

“From that day he was unknown to the victim but our dedicated Detectives from the Phalaborwa FCS hunted him until he was arrested in 2012 for another rape case and was linked to this case,”said Lieutenant, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

The complainant on the 2012 case withdrew charges against him in court.

“The SAPS management welcomed the sentence on both hands because it will serve as a deterrent to all the rapists to know that crime does not pay,” said Ngoepe.
