Staggering amount raised for Imke by Team DebtSafe

Team DebtSafe, Wikus Olivier and Frank Pretorius, finished their 387.5km ride from Pretoria to Tzaneen for Imke Geldenhuys today and raised a calculated total of R200 000 thus far.

The ride was to raise funds and awareness for the 3 year old Imke.

Imke has stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer.

The duo was met with cheers from the Tzaneeners as they entered the Lifestyle Centre parking.

The journey started at Unitas Hospital as a symbolic reference to Imke’s last journey from hospital to home.

Wikus Olivier speaks about their journey:

Fanie Eksteen joined the duo to ride with them from Polokwane to Tzaneen and the Tzaneen Cycling club joined them at Wheelbarrow to enter Tzaneen.

Letaba Herald caught up with the cyclists on the Magoebaskloof road.

The DebtSafe team is currently trying to raise the total amount to R200 000.
