Stolen cars and engines recovered

Two men aged 30 and 60 were arrested by Maake police for possession of suspected stolen property at Tickeyline village last Tuesday.

Maake police spokesperson, Constable Rufus Magoro, said the two suspects were arrested after a tipoff from an informer who saw illegal activities taking place in the suspect’s’ homestead.

A Toyota Hilux bakkie, Mazda sting sedan and 4 engines were recovered and confiscated from the suspects.

The police would like to thank the community for their full participation in the fight against crime.

“It is these kind of tip offs that enable the police to work efficiently, because without the information from the community, the police cannot properly execute their duties of combating, investigating, protecting and keeping public order, together we can,” said Magoro.
