Unite against crime

Tzaneen Cluster Commander, Brigadier Thomas Shingange together with his management team and local business owners met to discuss ways to curb the escalation of crime in the area.

Crimes such as armed robberies and housebreaking in their businesses were the issues at hand.

“Fighting crime starts with me ,the business community have got a very big role to play in the fight against crime by putting and ensuring enough security measures in and around their businesses,” said Shingange.

A number of joint strategies were established to prevent any crime to occur in and around their business in both the urban and rural areas including in the farms.

“Days are numbered to all the individual and syndicate criminals who are still targeting businesses.

They rather stop now and move away from this acts,” added Shingange.

A 24-four hour communication channel has been created between the police and the business communities including a contingency plan in case of any criminal activity occurring.
